The Role:


The purpose of this role to provide people leadership and development for our forage, environment, farm systems and animal scientists. You will offer coaching and mentoring to team members to maintain and enhance their science skills. This role will also work to identify and attract new scientists and post-graduates in areas of skill gaps, as well as having a focus on maintaining a balanced science demographic. Lastly, this role will contribute to the scientific direction and the leadership of collaborators and contractors in science programmes.

About You:


If you feel just as comfortable in a pair of gumboots with your sleeves rolled up, as you do with your feet under a desk managing a team of talented scientists you will fit right in. You’ll need to hold a PhD in a relevant field and have proven people leadership skills.  In particular, you will have a good understanding of succession planning with experience of identifying and attracting new scientists and post-graduates in areas of skill gaps and to maintain a balanced science demographic.
