Te Awamutu Vet Association Inc, (TAVA) is a NZ owned and operated parent company with eight clinics trading as VETORA Waikato, Tokoroa and Districts and Taupō Vet Centre. Together we are a progressive traditional New Zealand ‘Vet Club’ (Incorporated Society) with Farmer members and modern veterinary clinics providing excellent animal health services for over 75 years As a club, we specialise in providing both practical and technical expertise coupled with excellent customer service support to large and small animal clients through clinics in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region.
We are currently looking for a Client Care / Customer Service person for our Otorohanga clinic. This is a 12-month fixed term role to cover parental leave.
This pivotal role is part of a team that is the face and voice of the clinic. You will be part of a collective team responsible for providing exceptional customer service to everyone including supporting both farming and companion animal clients.
Core responsibilities include providing a warm welcome to our clients and visitors, managing incoming calls, emails and booking appointments. Scheduling and liaising closely with our Vets is a key component of the role as is ordering stock, inventory management and being able to confidently recommend our products to clients.
To be successful, you will have previous customer service experience within a busy frontline environment. Previous experience within the animal health industry or someone with a rural background is preferred, but not essential. You must have a high level of initiative, excellent attention to detail and multitask abilities, as well as having the skill and empathy to positively interact with our customers at sometimes distressful times. You will need to be highly engaging, have a team orientated style and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
