Position Overview

Massey University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital has the position of Veterinary Radiographer available. The position is 1.0 FTE.
Joining our current team of you will become part of the Imaging group involved in radiography and CT scanning of a range of species including companion animals, horses, and endangered NZ species. We provide a supportive, friendly, and happy work environment with progressive on the job training.
You will be required to assist with practical teaching of veterinary radiography to students during their clinical placement in the VTH so it is essential you have a passion for animals. There is a substantial IT component requiring the storage, manipulation, and transfer of digital images – you will need to proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programmes and a basic understanding of file types and file transfer. Experience with PACS would be desirable.
Application are accepted form either qualified Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Technologists or qualified MRTs (Medical Radiation Technologists). Once trained, and comfortable in CT, you will participate in an on-call weekend CT roster.
