Companion Animal Veterinarian – Gisborne

VetEnt is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced veterinarian to join our energetic and professional team, located centrally in the heart of Gisborne.

VetEnt Gisborne is a busy companion animal practice with 4 veterinarians supported by a great nursing and admin team. We enjoy a spacious and fully equipped clinic including theatre, radiography and ultrasound.  We are cat friendly accredited, with a separate consulting area. Our focus is on building strong relationships with our clients and their pets, providing both clinical excellence and wrap around care.  Our team is highly experienced, so you will be fully supported and there is opportunity to develop your area of clinical or surgical interest. If you enjoy mentoring and coaching, we also have teaching opportunities with our graduate vet.

We are looking for a general practice vet with at least 3 years’ experience, who has an engaging and confident approach. This is a full-time position in a busy clinic, reflecting the increasing case load and growth of clients in this area. There is an afterhours requirement of 1 Saturday morning per month, 1 on-call evening/week, and 1 on call weekend/bi-monthly. Part-time and locum opportunities are also available.

Gisborne is a fast-growing region known for its wineries and surf beaches with a rich history. A great place for families and keen outdoor enthusiasts. If you are an overseas applicant, this is an opportunity to enjoy New Zealand’s great regional lifestyle.

Veterinary Enterprises Group (VetEnt) is New Zealand's largest veterinary business, operating from 22 vet clinics over the country. With the support of over 85 VetEnt vets nationwide, you will have access to mentoring and training as part of a company that has a strong focus on excellence and innovation.
