We are seeking additional veterinary support for our sole practitioner during the upcoming 2021/22 breeding season.
This position may suit a recent graduate/intern or candidate wishing to extend their reproductive skill set. You will quickly become proficient at variety of procedures such as routine ultrasonography, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, foaling supervision, neonatal care and management of boarding horses. Experienced equine repro vets are also very welcome to apply.
Candidates must be eligible for veterinary registration in New Zealand and we welcome international applications, some border and visa restrictions may apply to get into New Zealand due to COVID. We will assist with NZ entry, let’s face it New Zealand is the envy of the world for having pretty much kept COVID out of the country, who wouldn’t want to come here and live life in relative pre-COVID normality?
The position includes comfortable and private on-site accommodation and a nice car for personal use so that you can explore the surrounding pristine coastlines.

We are a boutique foaling and breeding centre located near Karaka, Auckland. We provide a supervised foaling unit and extensive breeding clinic covering all aspects of mare and stallion reproductive services including embryo transfers, frozen semen, live cover and stallion collection.
We also provide routine dentistry services for mares and stallions boarding with us. Our case-load is represented by the Sport-horse, Thoroughbred, Standardbred and pleasure horse industries.
We take pride in offering a high standard of care for our clients’ mares and foals and have a great rapport with our growing and loyal client base. We have a very friendly and fun team of veterinary nurses, technicians and support staff.
Our in-house laboratory provides mare side assessment of uterine cultures and cytology, neonatal blood work and semen analysis. We are well supported by a local referral centre for emergency deliveries and intensive neonatal care which is within 15 minutes of our clinic.
