COMPANION ANIMAL VETERINARIAN
Te Puke Veterinary Centre
Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
Are you a companion animal veterinarian who is a great team player who enjoys a fun, fast paced clinic? Want to be in a beautiful part of the country which is known for its great climate and clientele?
We are looking for a veterinarian to come join our team starting in June 2021, to help us continue to grow our awesome clinic with excellent client service.
Te Puke Veterinary Centre is a mixed veterinary practice but has a separate and fully staffed Companion Animal side which consists of seven veterinarians sharing four and a half full time positions so there is lots of support and collegiality. Companion Animal duty is shared amongst all vets and is well remunerated.
The position is for a general practice small animal veterinarian that is able to work minimum 3-4 days a week, including rostered Saturdays. Ideally applicants should have over 2 years experience, be enthusiastic, progressive, have very good communication skills and want to be part of a team committed to providing quality service. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Te Puke Vet Centre is known for its friendly, caring and relaxed work atmosphere. The nurses are fully trained and very supportive. We have a modern, spacious purpose built clinic including two theatres (with a third currently being built), separate dog and cat wards, two consult rooms and a separate isolation ward. We are fully computerised and well equipped including digital x-ray processor, dental x-ray camera, iM3 dental machine, ultrasound and in-house chemistry & haematology.
Te Puke is a great community town nestled in the stunning Bay of Plenty. It is well known for being the Kiwifruit capital of the world, and is a stones throw away from all of the fabulous beaches and sea and lake-side towns in the area, such as Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, the Rotorua lakes and Taupo. The area offers a wide variety of outdoor and recreational activities including fishing, diving, water skiing, mountain biking and tramping.
This position combines being part of a high quality companion animal service with the lifestyle of a medium sized rural town, with the added benefit of sea-side proximity.
