About the job

Aorangi Vets is searching for a forward-thinking mixed animal veterinarian that values and complements our growing team.

Roles can be tailored to individual preferences. We are proud to develop with our vets and look after our team.

Remuneration is negotiated based upon experience, skill set, and ability.

New vet graduates are welcome to apply.

About us

We are a progressive mixed animal practice in South and Mid Canterbury with clinics in Geraldine, Fairlie, and Timaru.

Our private practice places value on having a high-functioning collegial team, that achieves our goals while having fun.

We have nursing and technician teams to support us in providing excellent vet medicine. This allows us to practice preventative medicine with an animal health and wellbeing focus in a positive environment. We have a significant farm animal and companion animal client base.

Many of our vets have areas of special interest: small animal reproduction, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, sheep AI, acupuncture, cattle nutrition, and membership in dairy cattle medicine. We value continued learning and find it rewarding helping our clients.

Mentorship is available and actively encouraged. Our after-hours roster is minimal and varies with seasonal demands.

We are close to all outdoor activities and in a great part of the country.
