Are you a vet with a passion for cows but not so much for cats?

Are you a vet who is career driven but not so amped about a large corporate practice?

Do you sometimes think there could be a different way of doing things?

Well…do we have the practice for you!

A small, independently owned Large Animal Practice, Kaipara Farm Vets is adopting a new way of thinking. We have three objectives:

  • Happy clients by delivery of solutions not just services
  • Happy staff by provision of career satisfaction not just employment
  • Happy owners & investors with a practice that achieves excellence in performance and results.

As a large animal practice there is the opportunity to focus your career in a direction that suits you. Primarily delivering services to dairy and dry stock farms you’ll develop key strategic relationships with our rural based clients. You will become part of an effective and well respected team. If you have a passion for a particular relevant specialism, we’ll investigate those options with you. Supporting your career will support our clients. Win win!

We’ll work with you to achieve the career you aspire to. Want a balance with family and social life with fewer on-call hours? Wonderful, we’ll help you achieve it. Alternatively, want to drive your career with aspirations of practice partnership? Excellent, we can work with you on that too! Perhaps you want both …. Well, let’s see what we can do together.

We’re based in Dargaville on Northland’s rugged West Coast. A rural support community it offers a smorgasbord of pursuits to whet the appetite of any outdoor activity enthusiast. However do not fear, the delights of Auckland are only a mere couple of hours away. The community ranges from successful business owners and farmers through to some of the most vulnerable – as a result, Kaipara Farm Vets is strongly motivated as a hub of support for the rural community.

All this together with a competitive remuneration package, relocation allowance and assistance with overseas relocation requirements (visa, immigration etc) we believe we can offer a career worth aspiring to.

We invite you to contact us to discuss opportunities with our progressive thinking team. Discussions via Zoom, MS Teams, Skype or just by good old telephone can be arranged in the first instance.

We also have a vacancy for a locum from July to November 2022.

Interested? Intrigued? Perhaps just a little curious about what could be?
