Feed My Furbaby is on a mission to create a world where people, pets and our planet thrive together. Our pet parents get their furbaby’s food delivered to their door in sustainable packaging with a Feed My Furbaby subscription.  

You’ll need to love engaging with people, and be passionate about helping them to be great pet parents!

Plus you can bring your dog to work, our pat ours while you work!

What you’ll do

This is a short term casual contract to cover for our ‘Head Hooman Help’ who is travelling overseas.

Your main mission will be to ensure that our existing customers feel loved, and that new customers want to be a part of that too! To do this you will help existing customers with any questions, queries or issues. You will also nurture potential new customers to understand our offering.

Your contact with our community will be wherever our customer wants to be! Usually via email, phone, social media, web chat and from time to time at events. A large part of your role will be on social channels, web chat and answering the phone to support new and existing customers… so you must love talking to people, especially about their pets! 

You need genuine care and empathy in the way you engage with our pet parents… so a love of dogs will ensure your commitment to help our pet parents is genuine.

Pet industry knowledge is not required but would be beneficial. Industry specific training will be provided but you will be need to learn fast and show initiative to problem solve. 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Proficient digital skills - computer and software use 
  • Proven customer care and sales experience
  • Confident and comfortable talking on the phone, and in person
  • Animal lover
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • A curiosity to learn and grow

Other skills/experience that could be applied to the role:

  • Social media management 
  • Customer Service Strategy (e.g. retention, on-boarding)
  • Sales and CRM
  • Business development
  • Commercial understanding and marketing
  • Vet/ Vet nurse (a bonus)

Where you’ll fit in

This is a short term casual contract to cover a position on leave.

Depending on your needs, we can be pretty flexible, and if things work out well this could also lead to casual and/ or ongoing work… if that’s something you are looking for. 

Hours: approximately 2-4 hours per day, Monday - Friday. 

Daily hours can be flexible between 8am –6pm. 

What you’ll bring with you:

  • 1-3 years work experience in a related field 
  • Relevant customer service/ community management/ sales experience
  • A fun, energetic and creative personality
  • Flexible can do attitude
  • Empathy and confidence   
  • A love of furbabies!  

We offer a competitive part time hourly rate contract with flexible hours.

Job details: 

Hourly range $25-35 per hour depending on your experience (animal and customer related)

Casual contract with approx 2-4 hours per day (min 10hrs per week).
