Our clinics located in Whakatane and Opotiki are both BESTPractice accredited in purpose built buildings. We are well equipped with digital x-ray, large animal and small animal ultrasound, power equine dentistry, IM3 dental unit.
Due to growth in the business we are looking for two full-time veterinarians to join our team. Our clinics cover a large geographical area from Tikitiki on the East coast, inland to Matawai and west to Matata. This is a special opportunity to join a motivated and friendly team working in a privately owned practice. We pride ourselves on providing professional animal health care services and cementing long-lasting client relationships through good communication and a committed team.

Mixed animal veterinarian with a production animal bias – full time
A position in our production animal team would suit an enthusiastic, hardworking vet with an interest in dairy herd health and disease prevention. We encourage each of our large animal vets to work closely with a small group of dairy clients with the aim to improve their farm performance. Whilst dairy is a major focus, we encourage anyone who has an interest in equine to also apply as there is scope to grow our equine business, including equine dentistry. A fully equipped practice vehicle and competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicant.
Small animal vet or mixed animal vet with small animal bias – full time
Our small animal workload has increased dramatically so we are seeking an experienced or newly graduated veterinarian to bolster our companion animal team. We have a wealth of experience in our small animal team which provides a great opportunity to develop sound clinical and surgical skills. We also have a dedicated qualified nursing support team.
This position would suit an enthusiastic, caring, hardworking team player with good communication skills and an interest in general medicine and surgery, as well as preventative health and wellbeing for all companion animals. Competitive salary offered.

Afterhours roster is currently one night per week and 1 weekend in 4, with a day off for duty. With addition of 2 new vets we aim to have 2 in 9, or 1 in 5 roster. Our nurses also offer great support to on duty vets during the weekend.
