We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive and friendly team based in our Invercargill clinic. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Senior Veterinarian, to ensure the efficient function of surgery/hospital facilities and to provide effective veterinary nursing assistance to veterinarians. Also to provide effective leadership and work enthusiastically with the veterinary nursing team to help maintain a happy, efficient working environment, whilst ensuring practice policies are adhered to at all times whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.

VetSouth is a progressive animal health business seen as a leader in its field, with eight clinics based throughout Southland and West Otago, two sister clinics in Greymouth and Hokitika, operating as West Coast Vets and one clinic in the beautiful Waikato, Morrinsville operating as Vet Clinic Morrinsville.

You will have:

  • A Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical nursing skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
