Are you looking for a varied and exciting career where no two days are the same?
We are looking for an Assistant Animal Care Technician to help within our Facilities.
Duties are varied and involve:
- Providing daily animal husbandry and care for a range of animals.
- Maintaining and managing breeding colonies of animals under conventional and specific pathogen free conditions.
- Assistance with large animals.
- Cage sanitisation and operation of autoclaves.
Movement between several facilities may be required.
Skills and experience - Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
- A Veterinary Care qualification or equivalent experience is required.
- An interest in caring for and working with animals is essential.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Experience of working in Animal Sciences, Veterinary Clinics or any form of Animal Care is preferred.

This a permanent, full-time position.
Weekend and Statutory holiday work will be required on a rostered basis.
