"Providing Lifelong Service, Expertise and Compassion"
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic clinician to join our highly regarded and experienced team.
We pride ourselves on providing outstanding pet care services in our well-established companion animal practice on the outskirts of Christchurch.
This opportunity is due to one of our veterinarians returning home to Ireland after her initial trial six-month locum became over two years!
We are a busy clinic of six veterinarians each with complementary areas of special interest, seven skilled and qualified nurses and a friendly and efficient administration team.
Our premises are purpose built, well managed and contain a comprehensive arsenal of up-to-date equipment. This includes the IDEXX in-house laboratory suite & SediVue, iM3 dentistry with radiography & Vet-tome, various orthopaedic kits (AO and ESF systems), ultrasound and digital radiography, endoscopes, ECG, tonopen, a range of monitors, fluid pumps and warmers, syringe pumps, and Smartflow patient management.
We support a genuine work life balance – limited After hours cover, as we are a member of the Christchurch After-hours Clinic. One weekday off each week, shared weekend work – Saturday only! We encourage all staff to pursue professional development both in-house and externally. Plus, an extensive range of benefits, subscriptions, and real collegial support.
We are an integral part of our local community because our staff strive to form exceptional client relationships and always ensure that patient care is paramount.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player, be proficient in general surgery and confident with everyday consultations, be willing to provide and receive support from other staff and provide exceptional patient care.
An enjoyment of home baking would be useful together with a good sense of humour!
If you would like to join a growing practice with a great team environment, please get in contact for a confidential chat or send a covering letter and curriculum vitae and where possible authorised referee contact details.
All applications will be treated in strict confidence.
