MIXED OR COMPANION ANIMAL VET
We are an NZVA Best Practice Accredited Practice located in the Nelson area with 3 clinics based in Richmond, Mapua and Motueka. The position would suit a veterinarian with experience. Although the Practice is of a mixed animal nature, Companion Animals (80%), horses and cattle (20%), the position would suit someone with Companion Animal skills, but there is some flexibility depending interests of the applicant.
A successful applicant would need to:
- Show enthusiasm and passion, and a willingness to expand and develop their skills and knowledge base.
- Be a good communicator and be very focused on customer service.

We are an expanding practice with 8 vets operating out of two main clinics, Richmond and Motueka, and a smaller clinic located in Mapua. The clinics are modern, purpose built and recently refurbished. Both are very well equipped including DR digital X-ray, Digital ultrasound, patient monitors, high speed dental units, in-house IDEXX laboratories and K-Laser therapy.

The area is diverse, vibrant and growing making it one of the more popular locations to live in New Zealand. The climate is warm with the area boasting some of the highest sunshine hours in the country. We are fortunate to have some of the best beaches in the world, easy access to 3 of the New Zealand’s National Parks with mountains, bush and alpine lakes at our doorstep. With the sea close by, all water sports are available and the nearby mountains provide skiing, climbing and tramping.
