Small Animal Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Do you want to join a friendly team of professionals working in a modern, well equipped, small animal practice? Our clinic is looking for a Qualified Veterinary Nurse to work alongside 9 other nurses and 3 Veterinarians. The position is for a Saturday (8.45am-3pm) nurse starting ASAP with the potential for more shifts.
We are a privately owned small/companion animal practice committed to providing the best patient care and customer service that we can. We offer clients compassionate care for their pets. Everything we do is to help owners give their pets their best life possible. We are well equipped with digital xray, ultrasound, laser therapy, comprehensive in house lab and all the other bells and whistles!
We need a qualified Veterinary Nurse, at least holding the National certificate in Veterinary Nursing, and with relevant experience in veterinary practice or related fields. You must be a NZ resident or citizen or already hold a valid NZ work visa and be currently residing within New Zealand and be available for an in-person interview in Christchurch.
We are looking for the right person for our team. Importantly we are looking for someone who will approach work in a positive manner, be an asset to our team and provide exceptional service and care to our clients and their pets. A desire for continuous improvement and attention to detail are paramount as well as the attribute of being personally accountable for following through on any commitments they make to clients and other staff. The role would be best suited to an experienced nurse but the right team member may be someone with the right qualifications but who had had few opportunities in the past to develop their skills. The position will cover all aspects of Veterinary nursing including surgical and medical care, clinical pathology, reception and administration duties. As the workload of a veterinary clinic can be unpredictable, some flexibility and a willing attitude to work beyond the normal hours of work at times will be required.
