About the Position:
With a specialist surgeon operating already and a further fellowship surgeon joining the practice in October we are looking for a veterinary nurse who has a strong interest in surgery.
The ideal applicant will have a vet nursing diploma qualification, you will need to be enthusiastic, adaptable and proactive and be committed to providing a first-rate service that exceeds our BESTPractice Accredited hospital standards. We are very well resourced having all the equipment that you would expect from a leading veterinary practice to service referring clinics from around the South Island.
We also have our own dedicated emergency and critical care vets and nurses 24/7 to provide intensive care to compromised patients.
The position is full time, you would have 1 late night per week and a 1 in 4 Saturday roster (although this is currently a 1 in 6 roster)
You will work alongside our Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia and our lead surgical nurse whom has extensive surgical and rehabilitation experience working in a surgical referral centre.
Your nursing skills will be well utilised and you will be well supported through a training and an induction period by a team of 20 skilled and fun nurses.
