We have a small animal veterinary locum position available. The position has flexibility in terms of days and hours of work, and the type of work you want to undertake, from consults, surgery, or hospital shifts or a combination.

We are a proudly independent, private practice and have been serving our North Canterbury community for over 50 years. With 34 vets and over 50 support staff, we work closely as a team to deliver a wide range of services. We are proud of our purpose-built, state of the art clinic which includes one of New Zealand’s few 24-hour hospitals with 2 large theatres, a dental suite, 20 walk-on kennels, 6 consult rooms and a separate cattery all built to Best Practice Hospital Standards.

In this exciting position we want you to grow and find your own 'niche' of services that you want to excel in. We are seeking applications from GP vets who want to undertake work in consults, surgery, or hospital shifts or a combination of these, you will be working alongside colleagues with post-graduate qualifications in dentistry, ECC and surgery.
About the Position:
The position has flexibility in terms of days and hours of work.
You will be supported through an experienced and passionate support staff team including a VTS anaesthesia tech and physiotherapy/rehabilitation team onsite.
The small animal hospital is staffed 24/7 including a dedicated after-hours team, so your patients and clients get the care they need whatever the hour, and we are very well resourced with all the equipment you would expect from a hospital standard practice.
