NEW* FULL TIME VET NURSE POSITION
Independent practice focused on the pet-client bond and staff wellbeing
Full time (37 hours/week average) performing reception, surgical and nursing duties
Hourly rate $23-$26/hr depending on experience
This is a newly created position in our growing practice. We believe in offering excellent support and managing our staffs’ workloads to create an effective and also fun working environment.
We are a long established family owned and operated clinic. We have all the usual toys and equipment a general practice should have (digital x-ray including dental x-ray, Idexx in house labs, surgical suite, ultrasound etc.)
We refer to our team as a family. Some of whom are into their 3rd and 4th decade of working within the practice. We are focused on providing excellent customer service and go that extra mile for our clients and their pets, and many families have been with us for generations. Our team is friendly, highly supportive of one another and work very well together.

Our clinic is based in Kaiapoi Township, about 10 minutes North of Christchurch City. We are surrounded by newly developing suburbs, which could be suitable for someone considering relocating to the Canterbury region. We have the beach to our east, mountains to our west and to the south we have the Mt Hutt ski fields for recreation.
The Position Details
This role is full time (37 hours/week average) with varied shifts covering the opening hours of the clinic from 7.30am – 7pm Tues/Thurs, 7.30am-6pm Mon/Wed/Fri and Sat 8.30am-1pm. Our after hours work is covered by a dedicated clinic within Christchurch.
Remuneration is $23-26/hr dependent upon experience. The standard benefits include 4 weeks annual leave, public holidays, 10 days sick leave entitlement commencing from start date, employer kiwi saver payment, and a generous staff discount.
