VetSouth is a locally owned and operated business, which continues to spread its wings.  We are looking for a Practice Manager to take the reins, working closely with our Clinical Head to keep our business humming and our people happy. This newly created role offers an opportunity for someone who loves people, pets, and our farming community to get the job done right as part of a fun, dynamic and hardworking team.

The Practice Manager will oversee our veterinary operations in Gore, Tapanui, Clydevale and Balclutha - and is a key member of our local management team. We have two other superb Practice Managers in Invercargill and Winton who love what they do, and this role will collaborate closely with them to make things happen and implement the right stuff. We have quite a crew - passionate people doing meaningful work in rural communities that we love. This role has four direct reports all focused on looking after our people, clinics and clients.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in what they do, understands the importance of smooth and efficient operations, and can resourcefully find ways to achieve that. Ideally, you will have at least two years’ experience running a busy practice, office or business and be comfortable juggling multiple priorities with a smile. If you have some knowledge of the veterinary or agribusiness field that’s a plus, but if not don’t let that hold you back because we offer heaps of support to help you learn the ins and outs of a veterinary practice, and get to know the team.

Here at VetSouth, we have an awesome team built on trust, collaboration and friendship who are on top of their game in all aspects of veterinary care for our rural communities. Our teams persevere, never shying away from hard work - we roll up our sleeves and get the job done as it should be. We take pride in doing the right thing with integrity and a commitment to excellence. We offer a supportive and fun team environment, a focus on personal development and wellbeing plus loads of rewarding work for the right person.
