MIXED VETERINARIAN REQUIRED
Te Awamutu and Otorohanga - Position Available NOW
We have an awesome opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinarian who wants to be immersed in a true 50:50 mixed practice role. The production animal component is dairy focussed with some balance of drystock and equine, the companion animal component is varied and stimulating.
The successful applicant will join a team of 9 veterinarians who cover the full spectrum of experience and knowledge. Collegial support and a team based approach to preventative medicine and individual case management provide support and development opportunities.
VE Vets is 100% independently owned and operated and is a well equipped ‘Best-Practice’ accredited vet clinic. We have most of the digital toys, in-house diagnostics and imaging technology, technology based health programmes and a fantastic group of hard working support staff.
This position ideally suits a young veterinarian who has already cut their teeth in clinical practice and is looking to take the next step in their professional development or alternatively it is a great move for the experienced vet who wants to be challenged and take on some clinical leadership. Continuing education and the development of special interests are encouraged and well supported.
The case load would shift during seasonal busy times and will require the applicant to be part of the shared large animal roster, companion animal afterhours are referred.
Remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with experience, a generous holiday allowance and other benefits complete the package.
Our main clinic (including small animal hospital) is based in Te Awamutu and we have a branch large animal base in Otorohanga. Our client base is continuing to expand and both towns are experiencing population growth. You can live and work within easy drive to Hamilton and both the west and east coasts, plus you have easy access to all the central North Island activities and sights. Waipa is a sporting mecca, has great cafes’, schools, cultural clubs and fantastic countryside.
