Two exciting opportunities exist at Massey University’s School of Veterinary Science for positive, organised persons with experience in clinical veterinary practice and excellent people skills, to act as a liaison manager with our veterinary externship practices. 


TWO locations available – One in Manawatū and one in Waikato


Ideally, you will be based within commuting distance of Palmerston North or Hamilton and must be prepared to travel regularly and extensively around the region. 


We offer permanent part-time hours up to 18.75 hours per week but the hours are varied and very flexible. 


Āu Mahi | What you will do

In this role you will be facilitating the training of the next generation of veterinarians by making regular visits to externship practices in your region, managing relationships with practices and students, and overseeing clinical education delivery and assessment by externship staff. 


This new role offers the right person a fantastic chance to contribute to the future of the New Zealand veterinary profession.


The Salary Range for this role is at a Practicing/Senior Practicing Veterinarian grade (for 2024), ranging from $81,172-$143,949 (NZD). Salary will be pro-rated and will be negotiable by background/experience.
