Description

At Veterinary Clinic Morrinsville, our clients trust us to look after all creatures large and small: from dogs to dairy cows, unique NZ wildlife and everything in between. We're progressive veterinarians involved in some of the most critical support of NZ's important agricultural industry.

Our team is seeking an experienced Practice Manager with the skills to ensure seamless day to day operational management of the clinic. This role will be part of the Veterinary Clinic Morrinsville Senior Management Team (SMT) and will work closely with them and the Clinical Head, so excellent stakeholder relationship skills are a must. The Practice Manager role is integral to the smooth running of the clinic, working in close partnership with the Clinical Head and leading the non-clinical support functions to successfully drive and deliver our business plan.

We are looking for people with a passion for the veterinary / agriculture industry, previous experience successfully managing a team, excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with peers and wider team members and an interest in understanding and influencing business performance. The successful candidate will be experienced in providing top notch customer service, ensuring clients have the best possible experience. There is plenty of opportunity to lead business improvements and successfully integrate these into the way we work, ensuring we operate efficiently and get better all the time.

Our purpose is Here for Good; doing our bit towards our client’s goals of happy healthy animals, successful and sustainable farms, and contributing to thriving local communities. Just as important as what we do, is how we do it. We value our staff loving what they do, making sure we get the job done right, striving to be one step ahead, and always in it together.

If you can tick most of the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • The ability to work with initiative and pick up new skills quickly;
  • Successfully managed a practice or similar business and previous experience leading a team of professionals;
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship management skills, with strong attention to detail, computer literacy and commercially savvy;
  • Experience in the veterinary and/or agricultural industry is essential;
  • An Agribusiness degree or tertiary qualification in business or similar is preferred, but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for career development, so if you’re after your next challenge and this sounds like you please get in touch.
