The School of Veterinary Science's Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) is seeking a Practice Manager for its Companion Animal Hospital. Reporting to the Director of the VTH, this role will provide practice management and leadership to large primary care and referral hospital.

The Practice Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all operational functions within the clinical areas of the Companion Animal Hospital of Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital are performed efficiently and effectively. This includes human resources, financial management, client services, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. It includes supervision, leadership, and management of the Companion Animal Hospital services and of the nursing and administrative staff.

The VTH is the main clinical setting for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate veterinarians. As part of Massey University, also supports research and the advancement of clinical practice.

To be successful in this role you must have had a minimum of two years of experience in practice management or an equivalent role in a relevant area such as small animal practice or veterinary industry. You will have a good affinity for people and be able to work with a wide variety of staff roles. A strong value for education and academic knowledge, paired with sound business acumen and effective practice management experience, will be essential to be successful in this role.
