Within our 13 mixed practice clinics (so companion and large animals) we have over 85 large animal veterinarians, technicians and support staff servicing farms in Waipa, King Country, Canterbury and Otago. We are very aware that our farming clients continually face tough challenges, whether it be through extreme natural events or the balancing of responsible land-use with on-farm productivity and profitability or the advent of new technologies and farming methods. 

As a business we are committed to supporting our rural communities and are seeking a Large Animal Business Manager to help lead us on a journey of further growth. This key executive role is responsible for developing our on-farm business strategy ensuring that our service, product, and technology offerings are at the forefront of the industry and exceeding our clients’ needs. 

With our large animal strategy and profitable business growth being the key outputs of this role, the successful applicant will have proven success in strategic business development and relationship building in the agri-sector. An understanding of current and future innovations and technologies that might be delivered through our LA veterinary team or our subsidiary operations, including VetEnt Research, StockCare and PureMilk, will be key to this. The role is supported by a capable and innovative marketing and commercial team. 

To be successful you will have a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ management experience with significant strategy and business development. An ag-science, agribusiness or veterinary degree is preferred.
