We're looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse or Vet Tech to help cover maternity leave!

Valley Cottage Vets is a 2-vet clinic in Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt. As one of our senior nurses is heading on maternity leave, we have a position opening for a part time Senior Nurse to lead our surgeries. 

You'll be comfortable being hands-on with all aspects of theatre management, plus surgery scheduling to ensure every patient gets great care and the team still has time for tea and biscuits. We strongly support training the next generation of clinical colleagues so it would be great if you enjoy teaching nurses and vets in practical tasks.

We're looking for a collaborative team player who is happy to get stuck in. We support extra training and coaching, and have our nurse team involved in all aspects of case management. The role will likely involve some client service such as surgical discharges, as well as clinical tasks. There will be some rostered shifts on a Saturday morning (9-1pm), with time off in the following week.

As this role is for maternity leave cover, we are currently offering a fixed term position.

There's also pretty good coffee and usually biscuits or cake too!
