We are currently seeking a driven and knowledgeable Agricultural Sales Specialist to join our team.
Established in Gore in 2008, our business provides veterinary care, advice and sales to a wide variety of clients. Our premises, in Gore and Heriot, are the hubs for our small non corporate team and sell not only restricted veterinary medicines, vaccines, drenches, minerals, milk powders but also other products associated with meeting the animal health and production needs on the farm.
Job Description: As an Agricultural Sales Specialist at Combined Veterinary Services, you will play a pivotal role in delivering vital animal health solutions to both new and existing customers, both in the dairy and sheep and beef sector. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and growing sales in the animal health sector.
- Offering valuable technical information and insights to farmers, translating them into actionable advice.
- Building and nurturing strong, trusted long term relationships with clients and other team members.
- Providing exceptional customer service, driven by your sales-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of farming systems and animal health.
- Maintaining a well-organized, enthusiastic and ambitious approach to your work.
- Collaborating within a team environment while demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently as needed.
- Utilizing your computer literacy for efficient reporting and record-keeping.
- Effective communication, both within the team and with clients.
- Leveraging your proven sales performance and business development skills to drive market growth.
- Actively engaging in cold calling and brand building within our area.
- Prior knowledge of animal health products is a plus.
