Cambridge Equine Hospital is looking for a well-rounded equine veterinarian to join our existing team of 12 veterinarians (including Specialists in Equine Surgery and in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation). This position would be a 6-month term starting in January 2024 with the possibility of a permanent role for the right person. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of experience in general equine practice, with additional experience in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and stud medicine being advantageous.

Cambridge Equine Hospital is situated in the heart of the Waikato and offers both first opinion and referral services. Our large client base is predominantly made up of thoroughbred studs, breakers, agistment farms and trainers, but we also care for a growing number of standardbreds, sport and pleasure horses. Our diagnostic equipment currently includes in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, nuclear scintigraphy, portable video-endoscopy, lameness locator, televet ECG, and battery powered dental equipment.

The successful appointee will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and a focus on delivering the highest standard of practice. We have a great team of veterinarians, who enjoy working in a collaborative fashion. This position may suit someone having recently completed an internship who is looking to further develop their skill set.
