Mixed and Small Animal Veterinarian

Two Roles Available
Dargaville Veterinary Centre (DVC) is a mixed animal practice in Northland with an ever-expanding clientele and case load. We are on the hunt for two veterinarians, one mixed and one small animal to join our friendly and professional team. Our caseload consists of 70-80% large animal work and 20-30% companion animal. Large animal work is mainly dairy but also involves sheep and beef, goats, alpacas, horses and pigs. Our companion case load includes complicated medical cases as well as lots of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We have a friendly and realistic clientele which are great to service.
Despite being a rural mixed practice, we have a wide range of “mods and cons” that you would come to expect from a high functioning clinic e.g. in-house blood machines, digital x-ray, CA ultrasound, infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ap alerts, blood pressure machine, dental equipment, in-house milk culture, Mastaplex, BCF large animal scanners, Infovet, Heifergain program and other unique large animal initiatives.
DVC is an owner operated business with three veterinary directors, two assistant veterinarians, three nurses, two technicians and four support staff. We believe in a good work life balance with great working hours and shared on call. We offer great remuneration, CPD support and pay NZVA, council and VPIS.
Dargaville is well situated for easy access to Auckland, Whangarei and the Bay of Islands.
