We are looking for a Part Time Veterinary Nurse to join our privately owned Companion animal veterinary clinic in beautiful Beachlands.

Our practice is equipped with all new modern equipment including In house blood analyzers, patient monitors, DR x-ray and Ultrasound, to name a few.

You will be working with one fun and supportive local veterinarian and three nurses, in this awesome growing community on the coast. The clinic has been open for a year and is growing quickly.

Building great relationships with our clients and their pets is extremely important to us. The Pohutukawa Coast is a wonderful community, and we have a fabulous clientele.

We love our nurses to spend as much time as possible hands-on nursing, doing tasks such as IV catheter placement, blood collection, in patient care, bandaging and running nurse consults. Continuing education is encouraged and supported.

Duties will include sharing time between surgery, animal care and reception/retail and customer service 

We're looking for 1 full day and 2 short days per week, approx. 20 hours per week, and Saturday mornings will be rostered. 

The Successful candidate will have

•  A certificate qualification or higher 
• Positive attitude, great communication skills, a bubbly yet professional personality and is keen to make great relationships with our clients and their pets.
• Great written and verbal communication skills
