Te Awamutu Vet Association Inc, (TAVA) is a NZ owned and operated parent company with eight clinics trading as VETORA Waikato, Tokoroa and Districts and Taupō Vet Centre. We are a progressive ‘Vet Club’ (Incorporated Society) with Farmer members and modern veterinary clinics providing excellent animal health services to a wide range of farming and small animal clients for over 75 years As a club, we specialise in providing our members and clients with access to the best practical and technical expertise coupled with excellent customer service through our clinics in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty region.

The key focus of this HRBP role is to quickly build relationships and trust with our Managers by providing them with professional and practical HR advice so they can best support and grow all 120 employees across our eight clinics.
You will be the main point of contact for all HR advice covering; recruitment, induction plans, all employment relations, remuneration frameworks, policies, employment legislation, employee engagement and playing an influential part within the health and safety function. There will be multiple exciting projects that you will be responsible for such as; to increase employee development, brand awareness, and efficiencies across the group to revolutionize the way things are done. You will also be involved with holistic workforce planning connecting the needs of each clinic ensuring they all work together as one.
To be successful you will need to have at least five years generalist HR experience providing expert advice at a senior level and have worked across the suite of HR functions. You will need strong understanding of employment relations legislation, health and safety coupled with excellent writing abilities as you will be solely responsible for updating and drafting all HR documentation. You will need to be highly personable and engaging with the ability to create positive outcomes and solutions regardless of the situation. A high level of initiative and organisation abilities is needed as you will be self-managing your time between each clinic. You will need a relevant tertiary qualification and the ability to travel around our clinics.
